Winnipeg Archery
Soldier On, in collaboration with 17 Wing Archery Club, is hosting the “Winnipeg Archery” event in Winnipeg, MB. This will be a two-day event held on Tuesday, 28 May & Wednesday, 29 May 2024. Participants will be introduced to the traditional recurve bow and the compound bow.
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to
twenty (20), 10 per group.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the
Winnipeg geographical area who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.
Selected
Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.
Participants must be able to tolerate
three (3) hours of moderate paced activities for
two (2) consecutive days, and
must be able to draw the string on a bow at shoulder height without issue or being in violation of their MELs. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day.
Participants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.

Wednesday, May 29, 2024 - Compound Bow
