Pickleball Camp - Quebec, Qc

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Pickleball Camp event from May 29th to May 30th 2024 in Quebec City is now open. The application deadline is Friday May 10th 2024 at 1200 EST.

AIM AND SCOPE OF THE EVENT: 
Soldier On is organizing a Pickleball Camp in collaboration with L2 Pickleball. Paricipants will join friendly and experimented instructors to learn and develop their techniques of this continiously growing new sport. Participants will be able to attend 2 lessons of 2 hours each, on 2 consecutive days. Camp will be host in a new pickleball facility opening on May 1st, Zone Pickleball Québec.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 16 (sixteen).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Quebec Region located in Québec-Lévis geographical area (90 min car travel). who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

Wednesday April 29th / 13h00-15h0
Thursday April 30th / 13h00-15h00

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation and meal will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location. 

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 2 hours/day of light/moderate paced activities for 2 days in a row. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. 

Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.

Soldier On, PSP and CAF TG aim to provide a safe environment for all participants and staff. To ensure everyone’s safety, applicants understand that they should aim to adopt personal practices focused on communicable disease prevention such as health awareness, staying home when sick and regular hand cleaning to help prevent the spread.
