Soldier On Grant Program

Participation in sport or physical activity is an integral part of your recovery, but the financial cost may be too high.

We can provide you with short-term financial support so that the cost does not stand in the way of your active lifestyle. We’ve already given more than $8 million directly to support your peers.

We can help you:
  • acquire sporting or recreational equipment; and/or
  • participate in structured group activities.
As an official grant program of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Fund is entirely financially supported through donations received from Canadians, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, small businesses, corporations, and foundations.

Due to limited funding and increased demand, our equipment grant program is currently closed. Please connect with your Regional Coordinator or check out Events and Activities in your region to discover alternative ways that Soldier On can support you.

Thank you for your understanding.
Any serving member or Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while serving their country.

Other beneficiaries may include members from other government departments that have acquired a permanent illness or injury while supporting Canadian Armed Forces operations; these will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Applications are accepted throughout the year.
Soldier On defrays the cost of an active lifestyle for eligible members through its equipment grant program. This program is funded exclusively by donations from generous Canadians.

Due to limited funding and increased demand, our equipment grant program is currently closed. Please connect with your Regional Coordinator or check out Events and Activities in your region to discover alternative ways that Soldier On can support you.
