Equine Experience Camp, Québec

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Equine Experience Camp in Québec on October 1st and 2nd 2025 is now open. The application deadline is Friday September 19th at 12:00.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:  Soldier On is organizing a 2 day Equine Experience Camp in collaboration with www.centrepegase.com located in Val-Bélair, Qc. During the camp, participants will be joined by qualified instructors and they will be able to learn new skills about equine equipment, equine care, stable management and horse riding

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to eight (8).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Larger Québec City Region (within 90 min of car travel) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

Mental & Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to tolerate 5 hours of light/moderate paced activities for 2 days/hours in a row. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians and therefore should be able to function in a respectful social environment.
