E-ON Region Kingston Golf Day - Team Scramble

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the E-ON Region Kingston Golf Team Scramble on 25 September 2025 is now open. The application deadline is 12 September 25.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:  
Soldier On, in collaboration with the Garrison Golf Club at CFB Kingston, ON is hosting a Soldier On Golf Scramble. This event will be held on Thursday, 25 September 2025 and is only open to Soldier On members from the Eastern Ontario region within a reasonable drive to Kingston. The aim of this event is to provide sport and socializing in a Soldier On inclusive environment and to offer larger participation to members.  The event will include 48 participants and will be conducted as a 4 person team; 4 Ball Scramble fun only format. Teams will be drawn prior to the event to ensure that a balance of beginner and skilled golfers have an opportunity to enjoy the game. 

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 48.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Eastern Ontario Region only, within a reasonable drive to Kingston (excludes the NCR and South Ontario Regions) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate. 

DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: 25 September

0915 – Introductions and E-ON RC Event Brief, Team notification and Rules, Group Photo
1000 – Start Tee-Offs. Golf 4 ball Scramble Begins
1500 – Announcements, Wrap Up.

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that meals and transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location, travel and meals are not eligible for reimbursement for this event.

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 7 hours of moderate paced activities for 1 day. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. 

Applicant must retain general mobility and strength in limbs required to perform a full or adapted golf swing. 

Applicants must maintain general strength and agility to ambulate over uneven terrain. 

Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
