National Move. Create. Connect. Camp
The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the National Move. Create. Connect. Camp on 18-23 SEPT 2025 is now open.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Are you ready to step outside your comfort zone and explore new ways to stay active and creative? What was previously our Team Soldier On at Canada Army Run event has a whole new look! Soldier On invites members from across Canada to take part in our inaugural
Move. Create. Connect. Camp—a unique six-day experience designed to inspire, energize, and empower. This dynamic camp blends athletic, recreational, and creative activities, offering something for everyone. Participants will have the opportunity to try:
- Multiple adaptive sports, including Wheelchair Rugby & Basketball
- Aquafit
- Yoga
- Cooking Class
- Dreamcatcher-Making Workshop
- And proudly represent Team Soldier On in the Canada Army Run, where you will run/walk/roll for 5K, 10K, Half Marathon or one of their unique multi-distance challenges!
All sessions are led by certified instructors, and all equipment is provided — just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to try something new!

Soldier On is responsible for covering the following for selected participants:
- NON-NCR MEMBERS: Travel, accommodations and meals throughout the event.
- NCR MEMBERS: Accommodations and meals throughout the event.
- ALL:
- Service provider fees and equipment for all activities (with the exception of racing wheelchairs for the Canada Army Run. Participants who wish to roll the Canada Army Run must bring their own equipment).
- Registration fees for Canada Army Run 2025
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to
20.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
from across Canada who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
NCR PARTICIPANTS:
Participants are advised that transportation to and from the event will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the hotel (Embassy Inn & Suites). All transportation and meals throughout the event will be coordinated by Soldier On Regional Coordinator in conjunction with Soldier On Operations.
PARTICIPANTS OUTSIDE OF THE NCR:
All transportation and meals throughout the event will be coordinated by Soldier On Regional Coordinator in conjunction with Soldier On Operations. The most economical means of transportation to and from events will be prioritized and discussed with members via the event OPI or delegate.
Mental & Physical Requirements
GENERAL:
Participants must be able to tolerate 8+ hours of moderate-high paced activities for 4 days in a row. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day.
Participants must have sufficient mobility, balance, and endurance to engage in adaptive sports and yoga; safely enter and exit the pool for aquafit; and walk, roll, or run at least 5 km. They must also be able to participate in hands-on workshops requiring some fine motor skills and the ability to remain upright and attentive. Participants must function independently or with minimal support in a group and follow instructions safely.
Participants must be prepared to participate in
all scheduled activities.
Activities will require various levels or exertion and range of motion. Accommodations for any restrictions can be made. Communicating your adaptive needs to the OPI prior to the camp will greatly assist in ensuring the correct equipment and support is available.
Participants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians and therefore should be able to function in a respectful social environment.
Participants are advised that accommodations will be shared (i.e., double occupancy) and that there will be no alcohol allowed in the accommodations.
Participants may subject to military environment (ex: military community center venues).
CANADA ARMY RUN:
Participants must be able to actively participate in their selected distance. Participation in their distance can encompass walking, running or rolling (wheelchair users only (racing chairs of any kind are not permitted)).
Participants are advised that the Canada Army Run is conducted outdoors and therefore, they should be prepared to adapt to changing weather conditions including but not limited to rain, heat, wind, etc.
Participants may subject to loud noises and a military environment (ex: cannon fire and fly pasts).
