Québec Equine Experience Camp - 2026 - Québec City, QC

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Quebec Equine Experience Camp from Oct 14th to 16th is now open. The application deadline is Wed Sept 23rd at 16h00.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT: 

Soldier On is organizing a 3 day Equine Experience Camp in collaboration with www.centrepegase.com located in Val-Bélair, Qc. During the camp, participants will be joined by qualified instructors and they will be able to learn new skills about equine equipment, equine care, stable management and horse riding. Regardless of their skill level, up to 12 participants will have the opportunity to practice horsemanship as part of their recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to twelve (12).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Larger Québec City Region (within 90 min of car travel) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

Oct 14th to 16th / 10h to 15h (1h lunch break)
 

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:

Participants are advised that transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location. We recommend that participants bring their own water bottle, lunch and snacks.

Mental & Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to tolerate 5 hours of light to moderate indoor/outdoor paced activities for 3 days in a row. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. Participants must have the ability to follow instructions. Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
