Jewelry Making - 2026 - Georgetown, PEI

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Silver Ring Jewelry Workshop, 26 May 2026 is now open. The application deadline is 6 May 2026.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT: 
Join us for a hands-on creative experience crafting your own silver ring with guidance from Shoreline Designs in Georgetown. This event is open to all skill levels, no prior jewelry-making experience is required. All materials and instructions will be provided, and you’ll leave with a unique, handmade piece of jewelry to be proud of. Participants will enjoy a relaxed, supportive environment for learning and creating.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 12, (4 per session).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from Prince Edward Island who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

1800hrs-2100hrs - Georgetown Location

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that meals and transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location, travel and meals are not eligible for reimbursement for this event.

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Participants should be comfortable sitting for 2–3 hours at a table and able to use their hands for fine motor tasks such as hammering, shaping, and polishing. Patience and focus for detailed work is important, and an enjoyment of a calm, creative environment will help make the experience more enjoyable.

Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
