Solder On Yoga - 2026 - Oromocto, NB

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Soldier On Yoga Program, 8, 15, 22, 29 Jan, 5, 12 Feb. is now open. The application deadline is 5 December 2025.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT: 
Soldier On is partnering with Wendy from Living Fit to help members rediscover strength and resilience through a 6-week Soldier On Yoga program designed for serving and former military members who have had various injures throughout their career. Each session focuses on fitness, confidence, and connection—with all movements adjustable to your abilities and goals.  

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 20.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Oromocto Area, who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate. 

DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

8, 15, 22, 29 Jan, 5, 12 Feb 

• 0855hrs- Arrive to Hazen Centre
• 0900hrs- Facilitation of Yoga Class
• 1000hrs-Wrap up for the day

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that meals and transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location, travel and meals are not eligible for reimbursement for this event.

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 1 hour of light paced activity weekly. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. 

Applicants should be able to follow simple instructions, move at a gentle pace, and safely transition into modified positions with support as needed. All movements can be adjusted to individual limitations, and members are encouraged to work within their own comfort levels throughout the session.

Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
