Mixed Martial Arts Camp - Québec City

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Québec City Mixed Martial Arts Introduction Camp from December 1st to 5th 2025 is now open. The application deadline is Friday November 7th 2025 at 12h00.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT: 
Soldier On in collaboration with www.novagym.ca will host a Mixed Martial Arts Introduction Camp in Québec City, Qc, from December 1st to 5th 2025.

The aim of this activity is to provide an opportunity for both serving and retired ill/injured CAF members to use the sports of Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Boxing as part of their recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration.  Regardless of the current skill level, the participants will be joined by qualified instructor and they will be able to learn and develop new mixed martial arts skills and technics in a professional dojo facility. For 3 days in a row, members will participate in a AM and PM session with a professional instructor.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 12 (6 from the Québec Region and 6 from the NCR Region).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Quebec Soldier On Region (Province of Québec) and from the NCR (National Capital Ottawa) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

Mon Dec 1st - Travel / 16h00 Check in at the hotel and briefing / 18h00 team diner
Tues Dec 2nd - 09h30 Session #1 / 12h00 lunch / 13h30 Session #2 / 19h00 team diner
Wed Dec 3rd - 09h30 Session #3 / 12h00 lunch / 13h30 Session #4 / 19h00 team diner
Thurs Dec 4th - 09h30 Session #5 / 12h00 lunch / 13h30 Yoga / 19h00 team diner
Fri Dec 5th - Hotel check out and departure

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Group meals will be provided throughout the event only. Accommodations will be arranged and paid for by Soldier On.  Participants acknowledge that there will be no alcohol allowed in the accommodations.

*Accommodations are double Occupancy, 2 participants will be in one room.

Participants from the Québec Region are advised that transportation to and from the event will not be provided by Soldier On. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event starting location (Hotel Must). Soldier On will coordinate transport for participants travelling from the NCR Region. Note that Soldier On will provide transportation during the activity for travel to/from the hotel to the activity sites on Dec 2, 3 and 4.
