Sourdough Pizza and Bagel Class - 2026 - Demorestville, ON
The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the E-ON Sourdough Pizza and Bagel Class on 9 March 2026 is now open.
The application deadline is 20 February 2026.
AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Soldier On, Eastern Ontario Region will host a 1-day Introduction to Sourdough Pizza and Bagel Making Class on 9 March 2026. The one day course offers participants an opportunity to create their own mouthwatering sourdough pizza in the morning and learn the art of bagel making in the afternoon. From mixing and kneading to nurturing the dough through fermentation, they will gain the skills and confidence to produce bakery-quality results at home. Participants will enjoy their pizza at the event for lunch and bring home the products they create and additional items. The event will be held at The Country Food Hub, 406 County Rd 15, Demorestville, ON K0K 1W0 (West of Kingston, Prince Edward County).
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to
10.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
Kingston, Trenton, and Brockville and surrounding regions who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.
Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate and
must have the authorization form submitted to the E-ON Soldier On Regional Coordinator by the application deadline or your application will not be considered.

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation and meals will not be provided by Soldier On for this event however a pizza lunch is part of the event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location.
Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate
7 hours of moderate paced activities. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day.
Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
