Archery Clinic - 2026 - Petawawa, ON
The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Petawawa Archery Clinic 28 January 2026 is now open.
The application deadline is 12 January 2026.
AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Soldier On, Eastern Ontario Region will host a local indoor Archery Clinic at Petawawa, ON. This event will be held on
28 January 2026. Ten participants will receive a detailed introduction to archery in a safe and controlled environment with the assistance of The Petawawa Archery Club.

Equipment will be provided by the sport delivery provider. The facility is wheelchair accessible.
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to
10.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
from the Eastern ON regions of the Ottawa Valley and North Bay who
acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.
Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate and must have the authorization form submitted to the E-ON Soldier On Regional Coordinator by the application deadline.
DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
28 January 2026
0930 – Soldier On RC Welcome
0945 - Archery Instruction.
1200 – Lunch (Soldier On Group Meal)
1300 – Archery Instruction
1500 – Event Ends
TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location. A group lunch will be provided.
Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate
7 hours of moderate paced activities. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. Participants in the archery clinic should have basic upper body strength, mobility, and the mental focus needed to safely follow instructions and engage in sustained practice, with adaptations available for specific needs.
Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment. Applicants are advised that the activity for this event is located at Canadian Armed Forces facilities, and thus they may be exposed to a day-to-day military environment.
