NCR Ottawa Black Bears Lacrosse Skills & Drill

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the NCR Ottawa Black Bears Lacrosse Skills & Drill on 23 Jan 2026 is now open. The application deadline is 14 Dec 2026.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Soldier on is proud to work with Ottawa Black Bears Lacrosse to host a VIP day with the Ottawa Black Bears!  Go behind the scenes and get an insider’s look at professional lacrosse. Start the day at the Canadian Tire Center to watch the team’s game-day shoot-around up close, then dive into a classroom session with team professionals for Lacrosse 101. After a catered lunch, hit the turf for to put your new knowledge of the sport to the test in an exclusive scrimmage, followed by a group session with FitQuest at Bell Sensplex to test your mobility and strength like the pros. Cap off the day with dinner and premium seating at the Ottawa Black Bears game—an unforgettable experience for fans and athletes alike!

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 12.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the NCR region who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

🚗 Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from event locations.

• Participants will need to provide their own hockey helmet for the on-turf portion of the event.
• No prior experience with lacrosse is required —just a willingness to try something new and connect with others!

0830: Parking On-site at Canadian Tire Centre 
0900: Observe game-day shoot around 
1030: Classroom session 
1200: Lunch in Club Bell 
1300: On-turf activation 
1515: PMV to Bell Sensplex 
1530: Fitquest - mobility, strength & conditioning 
1745: PMV to CTC (parking will be covered by the event) 
1800: Dinner at CTC 
1930: Cheer on the Ottawa Black Bears!

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event locations. The following meals will be provided during the event: Lunch and dinner on the 23 January 2026.
