Golf Camp - Lévis, Qc

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Golf Camp event on July 7th and 8th 2025 in Lévis, QC is now open. The application deadline is Wednesday June 18th at 12:00.

AIM AND SCOPE OF THE EVENT: 
Soldier On is organizing a Golf Camp in collaboration with www.golflevis.com on July 7th and 8th 2025. Participants will join a friendly, qualified and experimented instructor to learn and develop golfing techniques, Participants will have a short game and long game lesson in the morning and they will play a 9 holes round in the afternoon for two days in a row. Regardless of the current skill level, up to 12 participants will have the opportunity to use the sport of golfing of as part of their recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 12 (twelve).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Larger Québec City and Lévis Region (within 90 min of car travel) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate. 

DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Monday July 7th : 09h00-11h00 golf lesson / 11h00-12h00 lunch / 12h00-15h30 9 holes round 
Tuesday July 8th : 09h00-11h00 golf lesson / 11h00-12h00 lunch / 12h00-15h30 9 holes round

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location. Participants will need to bring their own personal lunch or buy one from the Club House Restaurant. 

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 6 hours of light to moderate outdoor paced activities. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day.  Participants should be able to complete multiple golf swing repetitions during the morning lessons and be able to swing a golf club without violations of their MELs. Participants must have the ability to follow instructions. Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
