Loyalist Golf Days - Bath, ON

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Loyalist Golf Days, 25-26 June is now open. The application deadline is 6 June 24.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT: 
This local golf event will provide an opportunity for Soldier On participants to learn basic golfing techniques through instruction and coaching over two days.  Participants will learn under the guidance of a Canadian Golf Teaching Professional.  Lessons will include driving, chipping and putting culminating in enjoying golf play each day.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 12.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Eastern Ontario Kingston and Trenton Regions who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate. 

DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

25 June Day 1 (Driving & Club use)
1045 – Introductions.
1100 - Golf Instruction Begins.
1200 – Break
1230 - Golf (9 Holes) with carts.
1530 – Activity end..

26 June Day 2 (Chipping and Putting)
1000 – Introductions.
1030 - Golf Instruction Begins
1130 – Break.
1200 - Golf (18 Holes) with carts.
1700 – Activity ends.

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that meals and transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location, travel and meals are not eligible for reimbursement for this event.

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 6 hours of moderate paced activities for 2 days in a row. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. 

Participants must not have any issues which would prevent them from bending, twisting, and swinging a golf club. 

Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.

Soldier On, PSP and CAF TG aim to provide a safe environment for all participants and staff. To ensure everyone’s safety, applicants understand that they should aim to adopt personal practices focused on communicable disease prevention such as health awareness, staying home when sick and regular hand cleaning to help prevent the spread.
