Woodworking Workshop - 2026 - Québec
The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Woodworking Workshop from April 13th to 15th 2026 in Québec is now open.
The application deadline is Wednesday March 25th at 16h00.
AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Soldier On is organizing a Woodworking Course in collaboration with
www.artebois.com . Participants will join a friendly and experimented instructors to learn and develop woodworking techniques, Participants will be able to build a cutting board and a small table by the end of the 15 hour course. Regardless of the current skill level, up to 12 participants will have the opportunity to use the art of woodworking of as part of their recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to twelve (12).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
from the Larger Québec City Region (within 90 min of car travel) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.
DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Monday April 13th / 09h00-15h30 60 min lunch breack)
Tuesday April 14th / 09h00-15h30 (60 min lunch break)
Wednesday April 15th / 09h00-15h30 (60 min lunch break)
TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location. Participants have to bring their own personal lunch.
Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 5,5 hours of light and indoor paced activities for 3 days in a row. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. Participants must have the ability to follow instructions. Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment. Please note that the level of noise could be high when many tools are running at the same time.
