Virtual Yoga with PSP Halifax
Soldier On, in collaboration with PSP Halifax, will be hosting virtual Yoga via Zoom on the 11th, 18th, 25th of April and the 2nd of May 2021.
This activity will bring together both serving and retired ill/injured CAF members, allowing participants to connect through peer support and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.
Using a virtual platform Zoom to connect to members to be able to keep active during times where not everyone can attend activities in the community.
Each session will be led by a qualified yoga instructor with modifications available to members.
Assistance throughout the event will be provided courtesy of David Carr from PSP Halifax.
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 40.
Minimum eligibility criteria
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Brunswick or Prince-Edward-Island who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.
Serving Members
Medical clearance may be required by your chain of command.
Mental & Physical Requirements
Participants must be able to tolerate an hour of moderate paced activities.
Participants will be joined with other ill/injured members and PSP Instructors, and therefore should be able to function in a virtual social environment.
