Canadian Armed Forces member gives back through Shakerhill Foundation

The generous support of the Shakerhill Foundation will provide equipment and camp grants for Soldier On members in the Atlantic region.

15 years ago, Capt. Turner Snelgrove became a member of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Alongside her service, Capt. Snelgrove is a board chair of the Shakerhill Foundation, a Canadian Foundation that supports community programs. For almost a decade, Capt. Snelgrove has witnessed the positive impact Soldier On has had on the lives of Canadian Armed Forces members and veterans.

“Over the years, I've realized that every single person I've worked with has at least either gotten an equipment grant, has known someone who's gotten equipment grant or would have benefited from going to a camp or receiving a grant. So, it (Soldier On) is a big part of who I'm working with right now. That's why it's important to me.”

Due to Capt. Snelgrove’s advocacy, the Shakerhill Foundation has confirmed their support of Soldier On. The Shakerhill Foundation has pledged $50,000 over the next two years to empower Soldier On members through both the Equipment Grant Program and support the Camp Grant Program in the Atlantic Region.
