Petawawa Golf Supports Soldier On

The Petawawa Golf Club recently supported Soldier On at two events.

On September 16, the Petawawa Golf Club conducted an 18-hole fundraising golf tournament to support Soldier On with 70 participants.

The tournament was generously sponsored by club owners Paul and Karin Cotey with the support of local and corporate sponsors. Following a fabulous day on the links, the golfers were able to enjoy a cocktail hour, sponsored by Labatt Brewing Company. This was immediately followed by a dinner served in the beautifully decorated black and red banquet hall.

At the completion of dinner, prizes were awarded for the closest to the pin and for the best golf foursome team scores. In total $4000 was raised for Soldier On with a grand total of approximately $16 000 being raised through the Petawawa Golf Club and the Cotey’s over the past few years

The Petawawa Golf Course also sponsored the Eastern Ontario Soldier On Golf Day on October 13 in Petawawa which was a resounding success. Despite the epic rainfall throughout the day Soldier On members had an educational, fun and enjoyable day.
